Hi, I am Mrs Roe and I joined Team NBCS in 2024. I have been a teacher for almost 14 years and have loved working in different schools across Leeds.

Outside of school, I love spending time with my family. I have 2 daughters who love to keep me busy!

Hi, I'm Mrs Murphy.
I have been a teacher for over 10 years now and have taught within schools across Leeds and Kirklees. I am completing my first year at New Bewerley, where I have been welcomed with open arms! I am thoroughly enjoying getting to know your children, our wonderful staff and great community. As the Senior Assistant Head within school, I am lucky enough to support in shaping the school and leading on a range of initiatives, such as Attendance.

Hi! I'm Miss Bramley. You can find me at the beginning of the week in Reception Class, where I am a class teacher. I have been teaching for nearly 14 years now and love my job. I have worked in a few different schools and many different year groups during my career, and enjoy teaching everything (but secretly enjoy teaching writing and art the most!).
In my spare time I love drawing and painting, baking, listening to music and spending quality time with my 2 year old son. We enjoy going on adventures and finding new places to explore, especially in the sunshine.

Hi, I'm Mrs Milligan - I have been teaching at New Bewerley since I started my teaching career 8 years ago and can honestly say there is nowhere I'd rather teach. I have always wanted to teach, and I am still enjoying it just as much as when I first started. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my husband and my two little boys. We love going for walks and finding rope swings in the forest! When I get a bit of quiet time for myself, I love to watch films, bake brownies & listen to musicals.

L. GoodmanClass Teacher & English Leader
L. Goodman
Hi!
I’m Mrs Goodman. I have been a teacher for about 24 years and started my teaching career working at a lovely little school called Greenwood Primary. That school was knocked down and a new school was built in its place, the school we all know and love as New Bewerley. I love working here, I have met so many fantastic families and brilliant children and I am proud to be part of their lives. As I love the school so much, I even brought my own children here. I honestly would not have wanted them to be taught anywhere else.
Away from school, I love spending time with my family. My two children (and husband) keep me busy, even though they are grown up. I love being outside when it is sunny or curled up on the sofa when it’s not, usually with a book in my hand. If I’m not reading , I enjoy cooking or watching cookery programmes or quizzes on TV.

Hello! I’m Mr Smallman – I’ve been a teacher for 14 years and have just finished my first year at New Bewerley. I love the diverse mix of children and staff at this school and everyone has made me feel very welcome. As well as teaching in class, I am also Maths Leader for the school which is great because it just happens to be my favourite subject (along with Computing!) In my spare time I like to socialise with my friends and play rugby, though I tend to stick to Touch Rugby these days to avoid injuries. I also love to spend time with my two cats, Kenny and Cloud, who are very cheeky but very loveable.

L. Ward
Hello, I'm Miss Ward and I have taught at New Bewerley for over 14 years - most of my teaching career since qualifying. I love teaching at New Bewerley (especially Year 6) because our school has such a diverse community, with children from so many different backgrounds and countries and nearly every continent in the world. I am currently the Science Lead in school and also enjoy organising our very popular school Carnival in July each year.
When I'm not working, I have 2 sons who are football mad so I spend a lot of my time at their training or matches, supporting them. We also love family adventures and I run my own Facebook page with ideas for Places to Go and Things to Do #KidsLeeds. We enjoy trips to the seaside, nice walks and spending time with our family. We also have a Dachshund - sausage dog - called Buddy who is very cute and cuddly and lots of fun.
